MONEMVASIA. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AREAS IN PELOPONNESE

 Monemvasia is one of the most beautiful areas of the Peloponnese and the seaport of Laconia. The rock is located within 95 km SE of Sparta is one of the most popular destinations in the Peloponnese.
  Connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land, from which it is said that it took its name. Ie synthetic "Alone" and "Emvasis", indicating that there is only one entrance to get one (the narrow strip of land that connects the Rock to the eastern coast of Laconia). The famous castle founded in the Byzantine period and was one of the most important fortresses in the Peloponnese. The high stone houses, imposing mansions, narrow cobbled streets, Byzantine churches and strong fortifications create awe and admiration of every visitor, transporting it in past seasons. Many listed buildings operate as guesthouses. Staying in these remains unforgettable to every visitor and the atmosphere is very romantic and idyllic.
